The master cleanse recipe is surprisingly easy and cheap to prepare. Only a handful of ingredients are required, and no cooking or other special preparation is needed. It's possible to make it per glass, or prepare an entire day's serving to conserve time and energy. The detoxification program lasts for not less than 10 days.
Combine 2 tbsp of lemon juice, 2 tbsp of maple syrup and a tenth of a tsp of powdered cayenne pepper in 8 oz of water to make a glass. To come up with a serving good for a full day, just adjust the ingredients. So that's going to be: 32 tbsp of lemon juice, 32 tbsp of maple syrup and 1 and 6/10 tsp of powdered cayenne pepper in 1 gal of water.
Now let's take a look at the individual ingredients used. The lemon juice to be used should be from organic lemons. It should also be freshly squeezed - not obtained from a bottle. The maple syrup should be grade B, which has a darker color than grade A and packs in more nutrients. The water should be purified or distilled.
Within 10 days, you may have as many of the mixture as you like. But definitely you can't take anything else, especially solid foods. Some people try to have 6-12 servings of it per day, while others try to double that amount. You may also drink as much purified or distilled water throughout the day to prevent you from feeling hungry.
Other than taking this mixture, sea salt water has to be taken upon arising in the morning. Such is rather simple to make. Just add sea salt (2 tablespoons) that's non-iodized to a quart of warm water. Have 1 glass per morning. Before going to bed at night, drink a cup of laxative tea, the herbal kind, to enhance the detoxification process.
This simple detox which includes the lemonade diet lasts for only 10 days. As you can see, you don't have to burn a hole in your pocket in following the master cleanse recipe and enjoy the health benefits later on.
